 The Dartmouth Dante Project
La direzione del DDJ ha comunicato l'inserimento di nuovi commenti |
The Dartmouth Dante Project announces additional material it has recently made available:
Francesco Mazzoni: The DDP is especially pleased to announce that, with the collaboration of the Società Dantesca Italiana, it has made available the nine cantos of commentary published in his lifetime by the late Francesco Mazzoni. Composed for the most part some forty years ago and published, with the exception of the first three, as separate entities and in various periodicals, these commentaries are perhaps the densest and most interesting of any ever written. They have never been gathered in a single venue. Cantos treated are Inferno I-VI, XI; Purgatorio XXXI; Paradiso VI.
Pietro di Dante: We also pleased that the second and third versions of his commentaries to Purgatorio and Paradiso are now online. The electronic versions of both of these ("Pietro2" and "Pietro3") were obtained through the courtesy of Lexis Progetti Editoriali (director: Paolo Procaccioli, editorial director: Francesca Ferrario). The second ("Pietro3") was modified in accord with the text of Comentum super poema Comedie Dantis: A Critical Edition of the Third and Final Draft of Pietro Alighieri's "Commentary on Dante's 'Divine Comedy,'" ed. Massimiliano Chiamenti (Tempe, Arizona: Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, 2002).
Nicola Fosca: His commentary to Purgatorio joins that to Inferno online. Both are original publications of the DDP.
Robert Hollander: The commentary to Paradiso (Doubleday [2007]) is now complete and joins those to the first two cantiche online.
In progress: The commentary of Luigi Bennassuti (1864) is now complete through Inferno 28.
